Un dia después de la nota difundida por el ayuntamiento de Orihuela, donde el Concejal de la Costa, Manuel Mestre (VOX), posaba junto a las obras de bacheado que se han efectuado en la Avd de las Adelfas de Campoamor , OrihuelaCostaLibre ha querido revisar los trabajos ejecutados por los servicios municipales. Lo cierto es que los trabajos no han reparado todo el vial, quedan baches y asfalto desmigado sin reparar en la mitad de calle, tal y como se puede apreciar en las fotos efectuadas en el día de ayer, uno de mayo.
MESTRE ACHACA EL MAL ESTADO DE LAS CALLES A LAS LLUVIAS
Esta avenida será el escenario de la salida y meta de la prueba de triatlon valida para el Campeonato de España de triatlón olímpico que se celebrara el próximo domingo día cuatro de mayo. Como se puede apreciar, aproximadamente la mitad de la calzada no presenta un estado presentable.
Los trabajos de bacheado que se están efectuando de urgencia en Orihuela Costa con un presupuesto estimado de 90.000 euros son objeto de polémica entre los vecinos de la costa que consideran los trabajos de bacheado insuficientes teniendo en cuenta el estado lamentable de las calles de la costa.
Sin criterios técnicos conocidos
En particular, la asociación de vecinos Unidos x la Costa, viene solicitando desde hace meses los criterios técnicos en base a los cuales se van a asfaltar unas calles si y otras no, sin éxito conocido, a pesar de haber mantenido reuniones con el concejal Mestre para intercambiar información sobre las necesidades de asfaltado en la zona.
Por su parte, el concejal ha justificado el mal estado de los viales de la costa por las lluvias de abril y mayo, lo que ha provocado una cascada de comentarios negativos en la red y,más concretamente, en la propia pagina del ayuntamiento donde ha colgado su foto con la nota de prensa municipal.

The pothole patching in La Glea, yet another municipal botch-up in Orihuela Costa
A few days after the note published by the Orihuela Ayuntamiento, where the Councillor for the Coast, Manuel Mestre (VOX) posed next to the pothole patching work carried out in Avd de las Adelfas de Campoamor, OrihuelaCostaLibre wanted to review the work carried out by the municipal services.
The truth is that the work has not repaired the entire road, leaving potholes and crumbled asphalt in half the avenue, as can be seen in the photos taken yesterday, May 1st.
This avenue will be the start and finish line of the triathlon event valid for the Spanish Olympic Triathlon Championships to be held on Sunday 4th May. As can be seen, approximately half of the roadway is not in a presentable state.
The pothole patching work being carried out urgently in Orihuela Costa with an estimated budget of 90,000 euros is the subject of controversy amongst the residents of the coast who consider the work to be insufficient considering the deplorable state of the streets along the coast.
No known technical criteria
In particular, the asociación de vecinos Unidos x la Costa has been requesting for months the technical criteria on the basis of which some streets are to be asphalted and others not, without success, despite having held meetings with councillor Mestre to exchange information on the asphalting needs.
For his part, councillor Mestre has justified the poor state of the roads on the coast by the rains in April and May, which has provoked a cascade of negative comments on the web and, more specifically, on the town hall’s own web page where he has posted his photo with the municipal press release.
