Los grupos municipales del PSOE y Cambiemos Orihuela han forzado la comparecencia del edil de Educación del gobierno municipal de Orihuela para que Vicente Pina de información sobre la apertura del Colegio número 20 de Orihuela Costa, en realidad un aulario adscrito al CEIP Playas de Orihuela.
Así se contempla en el Orden del día firmado por el alcalde popular Vegara donde se contempla la comparecencia del concejal de educación en representación del Gobierno Local del Partido Popular y VOX.
Cambiemos Orihuela y el Grupo socialista han calificado la apertura de la dotación educativa como “caótica” por lo que solicitaron formalmente la comparecencia del concejal de educación, lo que finalmente han conseguido.
Para los socialistas , el Concejal de Educación del Partido Popular tiene que ofrecer explicaciones sobre “la desastrosa gestión de la apertura del Colegio No 20 en Orihuela Costa. Este centro educativo, que se presentó como una solución a la saturación escolar en la zona, ha terminado siendo un ejemplo claro de improvisación, desorganización y falta de transparencia por parte del Gobierno local y la Consellería de Educación”.
Para el concejal de Cambiemos, Quique Montero, “ha sido la enésima improvisación de este gobierno en materia de educación. Es un colegio que debería haberse abierto hace dos años y que por la negligencia del gobierno anterior buscando lo que debería ser la solución definitiva para vaciar los Dolses y el Playas de Orihuela, pero por la tardanza que hemos tenido va a ser un parche que no va a solucionar el problema.
Las familias de los niños afectados se movilizan por la educación en Orihuela Costa
Para denunciar la situación en la que se encuentra la educación en la Costa de Orihuela los padres se movilizaron el sábado pasado para reclamar un tercer colegio de ladrillo, el Colegio número 20 de Orihuela Costa, la masificación de los otros dos , la ubicación de los niños en barracones, la falta de un equipo directivo propio al compartir profesores con el Playas del Orihuela, a cinco kilómetros del aulario, la falta de biblioteca, un centro cultural o un espacio deportivo escolar.

Families of affected children mobilise for education in Orihuela Costa
To denounce the situation of education on the Orihuela Costa, parents mobilised last Saturday to demand a third brick school, Colegio number 20 in Orihuela Costa, the overcrowding of the other two, the location of the children in barracks, the lack of their own management team as they share teachers with the Playas del Orihuela, five kilometres from the classroom, the lack of a library, a cultural centre and a school sports area.
