Sunday the 11th of May is another dark chapter in the History of this great town of Orihuela Costa when within a Year there was a second wild fire in Las Ramblas Golf, the first was of June last Year, even though It cannot be proved it is widely excepted that it was started deliberately either directly or indirectly by developers who want the land for developing, both areas featured pine, shrubs and other flora, also it is the loss of the wild life which will take time to recover, but, it is currency, euros in envelopes that makes the laws not Governments, as in the famous Monty Python song, “ money is the route of evil, give it to me, give it to me, give it to me, everybody wants their piece of the pie».

Quite a few Years ago even though it was not substantiated there was a similar fire the other side of the Roman arches at Campoamor beach as it leads futher up the path, where pine, shrubs, other flora especially a unique flower the “jarilla cabeza de gato” grows, that’s all gone now and in place 250 properties was built, and there was a developer after that land as well.

In Governments the politicians make suggestions about developments then the technicians convert those suggestions into a reality or they advise against them, No matter how much a politician of any party wants it to happen, none of the hundreds of thousands houses built of floodable areas could have been built without getting the project signed off by a municipal technician, so that calls into question their integrity or impartiality, how may developments have been built on Orihuela Costa should not have seen the light of day, but money talked louder.

EL DINERO ES LA RUTA DE TODOS LOS MALES, Y QUIERO MI PARTE

El domingo 11 de mayo fue otro capítulo oscuro en la historia de esta gran ciudad de Orihuela Costa cuando en el plazo de un año hubo un segundo incendio forestal en Las Ramblas Golf. El primero fue en junio del año pasado. No se pudo probar que se inició deliberadamente, directa o indirectamente, por los desarrolladores que quieren el terreno para su desarrollo pero lo cierto es que tomara su tiempo que se recupere la pérdida de la vida silvestre. Como en la famosa canción de Monty Python: «el dinero es la ruta del mal, dámelo, dámelo, dámelo, todo el mundo quiere su parte del pastel«.

Hace unos años, aunque no se ha demostrado, hubo un incendio similar al otro lado del puente romano de la playa de Campoamor, donde crecen pinos, arbustos, otra flora, especialmente una flor única, la «jarilla cabeza de gato«. Todo esto desapareció y en su lugar se construyeron 250 propiedades. Había un promotor detrás de aquel terreno.

En los Gobiernos, los políticos hacen sugerencias sobre desarrollos y, luego, los técnicos convierten esas sugerencias en realidad o las desaconsejan, Por mucho que un político de cualquier partido quiera que algo ocurra, ninguno de los cientos de miles de viviendas construidas de miles de viviendas construidas en zonas inundables se hubieran construido sin el visto bueno de un técnico municipal, lo que pone en duda su integridad o imparcialidad.

Parte del siguiente párrafo es compartido de Jesús Gil de la asociación “Costa de Campoamor”, en una carta enviada al alcalde del ayuntamiento oriolano, José Vegara, el 1 de noviembre, en nombre de los vecinos y de las comunidades de propietarios de la zona de Rio Nacimiento tras la desastrosa riada ocurrida en Valencia: “venimos formulando quejas en múltiples ocasiones por las inadmisibles condiciones de abandono, suciedad, salubridad, deterioro, riesgo de incendios y sobre todo inundaciones de todas las ramblas que atraviesan los núcleos urbanos del litoral de Orihuela Costa” Ahora, la misma asociación de la costa oriolana ha denunciado públicamente el inicio del desbroce con maquinaria pesada de la parcela donde un promotor planea construir 64 viviendas residenciales turísticas al norte de Campoamor, bordeando el río Nacimiento.

Algunos de estos terrenos están afectados por riesgo de inundación. ¿Es un capricho del destino o no que el actual concejal de urbanismo del Partido Popular en el gobierno, Matías Ruiz, firmara informes incluidos en el expediente urbanístico municipal como ingeniero de caminos de la promotora en un trabajo anterior a su etapa de concejal?. Ahora, el concejal niega que la zona del río Nacimiento donde quieren construir «sea inundable en 500 años«, algo que los datos niegan.

Esto es solo la punta del iceberg de problema mucho mayor que se está pasando por alto o ignorado aquí en Orihuela Costa, porque al final del día NO SON LAS LEYES DEL HOMBRE LAS QUE DECIDEN, ES EL TAMAÑO DEL SOBRE. El dinero habla más alto para los que no han venido a servir a la comunidad, sino a servirse a sí mismo.
